JOB DESCRIPTION

·        PURPOSE OF JOB:

·        To be the design lead for all call management features including Dial Plan routing, fixed routing by criteria, and associated traffic handling.  To manage and respond to requirements for design/build from both internal and external sources.  To also assist in the overall design and architecture of Our client’s Softswitch Voice network. Provide support to both sales engineering and product management on the feasibility features on the candidate list for Voice products.

-       To maintain forecasts for market needs and changes

-       To react to strategic market forces.  

-       Ownership of short and long term development road map

-       Ensure the network design is up to date with current engineering build and development.

-       Developing the architecture for new service design

-       Optimizing the design and architecture for existing services

PERSON SPECIFICATION

·        QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

-       Fully conversant with both TDM and VoIP technology. 

-       Design and architecture process’s

-       Good technical documentation skills

·        SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE

-       Minimum of 3 years in a similar design role

-       Awareness of traditional TDM routing and supplementary service

-       Project lead and can hit the ground running

-       Conversant with H.323, SIP and interworking

-       Experience in a C7 network

-       Ideally experience with Switch partitions.

-       Proven track record

Team play that can work in an environment where there is very little support infrastructure.  Self sufficient and has a “Can Do” attitude.  Comfortable working to tight deadlines.
