JOB DESCRIPTION

·         PURPOSE OF JOB

To assist in the design and architecture of  our client’s Softswitch Voice network, with a primary focus on Interconnect Design dealing with new protocols being released and integration of existing ones.  Provide support to both sales engineering and product management on the feasibility of various services,

·           DEPARTMENT: IP & Systems

·         MAIN DUTIES

·         New application testing

·         Design Champion for the Interconnect subset of the product.

·         Working with signalling standards organisations

·         Ensure the network design is up to date with current engineering build and development.

·         Developing the new service design

·         Optimizing the design for existing services

PERSON SPECIFICATION

·         QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

·         Fully conversant with both TDM and VoIP technology. 

·         Design and architecture process’s

·         Good technical documentation skills

·         SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 3 years in a similar network design role
• Project lead and can hit the ground running
• Fully conversant with IP protocols H.323, SIP and interworking
• Fully conversant in C7 protocols.
• Good understanding of the IAD market
• Ideally experience with Switch partitions.
