MEDIA SALES MANAGER

 

Job description:

The purpose of the Media Service Sales role is to identify new Media vertical customers for this carrier’s growing portfolio of media and network products, identify their needs, drive the creation of a deliverable solution, negotiate the optimum commercial deal and to close the deal in a way that allows maximum cash flow whilst building a lasting relationship. The post holder will develop and maintain key internal relationships with product development and operational delivery teams in order to ensure the solution sold can be, and is delivered. This person should already hold successful commercial relationships with target clients in this vertical.

 

Responsibilities/main duties :

To act as a representative of the carrier Media Services (IMS) in order:

·         To support IMS sales efforts / bids

·         To drive revenue growth and cash flow through the direct sale of IMS and network products to media vertical accounts primarily in the UK.

·         To manage existing IMS accounts for growth.

·         To keep accurate records of sales and forecasts, regularly reporting to the Director of Media Services.

·         To ensure the timely involvement of technical solutions team in order to ensure the development of appropriate, agreed responses to customers requirements.

·         To oversee the delivery process, ensuring customer satisfaction.

 

Personal characteristics and aptitudes:

 

  • Aggressive deal maker with sufficient presence, gravitas and tenacity to gain access to senior decision makers in order to develop revenue generating relationships

·         Proven ability to close solution base sales to Media Vertical companies with proven history in the music vertical

·         Highly energetic, self motivated and driven

  • Sales focused

·         At least 5 years sales orientated experience in the Media sector

  • Educated to Degree level
  • Must have experience of selling technical solutions to the Media sector.
  • Knowledge of Media workflows in broadcast, post production and music sectors is required.
