In-country manager field engineering - Madrid

 

Job description:

In close collaboration with the Director Network Build & Field Engineering, you will be in charge of:

·         Providing day to day management and leadership of the in-country Build & Field Engineering team, covering network infrastructure, technology and outside plant.

·         Delivering service to customers

·         Delivering build projects to meet network expansion requirements, to time, cost and quality

·         Maintaining a high quality network through quality build, administration and management processes, driving and/or supporting external O&M suppliers as required  for preventative / corrective maintenance

·         Managing effective allocation of resources based on a combination of locally and centrally initiated projects

·         Facilitating development and encouraging adoption  of Company-wide standards, processes, systems, financial controls and reporting mechanisms through close liaison with central functions

·         Developping and maintaining communications channels and interfaces between country and central functions, including Design, ISP/OSP, Service Delivery, IP and Operations teams

·         Developping necessary business cases for network build, covering infrastructure and technology.

 

Your profile:

·         Educated to degree standard or equivalent

·         Professional engineering qualifications

·         Experience in leading a team

·         5 years experience in the field of network build, multi-site project management and implementation

·         5 years experience of completing commercial negotiations with suppliers and contractors.

·         SDH, IP & Optical networks & technologies

·         Fibre based networks

·         Development of business cases

·         Fluent oral and written English and local language(s)

·         Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access

·         Excellent written and oral presentation skills

·         Enthusiastic and highly self motivated
