Our client is a leading worldwide provider of online polls and surveys. He is looking for a Manager of information technology to join Paris HQ.

Mission:

Reporting directly to the VP IT Operations in the US, the successful candidate will have responsibility for the strategic, tactical, and technical direction and the daily operation of the IT Department including IT Operations, Systems Administration and IT Help Desk, in Paris office.

The Manager’s responsibilities include:

-          As part of the company management team the IT Manager will participate in the establishment and execution of company objectives and strategy

-          Organising and leading Paris’ technology resources in the design and implementation of technology solutions to support business strategies

-          Establishing and implementing best-practice processes throughout the IT organisation.

-          Managing IT personnel, including identifying, attracting, motivating and retaining talent including hiring, performance review, etc

-          Making decisions on technology acquisitions. Negotiating service and  purchase contracts

-          Defining and maintaining IT capital budget

-          Establishing and guarantying SLAs on system performance and availability in a high transactional 24X7 environment

-          Responsible for maintaining telecommunications infrastructure including data, voice and video.

-          Maintaining and enforcing policies and procedures assuring regulatory compliance in  IT controls, data security and integrity

-          Responsible for corporate IT activities for European offices including London, Frankfurt, Munich and Timisoara

 Profile:

- Degree in Computer Science or related discipline

- 4-6 Years of experience managing Information Technology in an enterprise level multi-site international environment

- Proven experience at delivering successful IT solutions on strict timescales with a geographically distributed team

- Excellent knowledge of networks, systems (Especially Linux based and Windows), and database management systems (MySQL).

- Technical expertise in web architecture, web servers, internet protocols and programming strongly desired

- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities

- Positive "can do" team attitude

- Fluency in English is a must

Practical hands-on up-to-date expertise in the following technologies is very desirable:

   - Systems Engineering and enterprise Network Design

- Microsoft Windows Networking Operating Systems and Servers including AD, Exchange,  SQL Server, IIS and Linux Tomcat and Apache

   - Optional: CISCO networking including routers, switches, ASA firewalls, Call Manager IPT.

- Internet technologies and protocols including email messaging, web services, TCP/IP,  DNS, VPN, VOIP, XHTML, SSL, etc.

- Perimeter network security, firewalls, intrusion detection and incidence response practices

- Wide Area Networks and Telecommunication interfaces and circuits

- Industry certifications in Systems Engineering, Data Base Administration, Networking and Security is definite plus
